Dog and Cat

Patient Arrival

Dogs: For your protection, and that of others, all dogs must be on a 4-6 foot leash and properly controlled while in the waiting area or exam rooms. We have a toilet area for dogs to the right of the parking lot. Plastic bags are provided; for hygiene and disease prevention, please pick up after your dog.

Cats: To ensure the safety of your cat and our staff, all feline patients must be presented in an appropriate cat carrier or on a harness and leash.

If you are more than 7 minutes late for an appointment we have to reschedule.

If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment within 24 hours of your scheduled time, or if you do not show up for an appointment, a $25 fee may be applied.

Prescriptions

We have a veterinary pharmacy on-site, and can also provide written prescriptions for outside pharmacies when needed. On top of that you can order supplies from the comfort of your own home from our online pharmacy. When requesting a refill, please call 24 hours in advance. The best time to pick up prescriptions is between 12 noon and 3pm, when the office is least busy; however, prescriptions can be filled and picked up during all normal business hours.

Should your pet need a special medication or any prescription compounded into a flavored formulation, or if you prefer the convenience of at-home shopping and delivery, please visit our online store. For our doctors to authorize a prescription, your animal must be a current patient and have been examined at KPVH within the past 12 months.

We understand that being able to get the things you need without leaving your house is important to some people, and we want to make sure we can still help as many people as possible.
